The Future of Search is Location
Access to everyone via their Mobile Device
Search engines presently index websites, but what if there was a search engine just to index Mobile Devices?
For example, what if One Degree (named for the idea of one degree of separation between everyone using the App) could map anyone who is available NOW for local information search based on their present location? What would that look like?
In 2014, when the number of Mobile Devices is expected to surpass the number of people on earth, shouldn’t it be easier to connect with someone for access to hyperlocal information based on their micro-location (the one square foot of space that they presently occupy)?
This is indeed what a future version of One Degree will look like — a mobile app that provides access to information by making it easy to find someone WHERE you need the information from, and who can provide it instantly. It will be slower than Google, but it may be far more accurate, relevant and fresh than the results offered to you in your browser.
