Let’s be honest, how many times you have used torrent? have seen pirated movie online? Everyone does, because it is convenient, its FREE!!

But it is equally sad for the producer of the movie who is putting in efforts, money, creativity and isn’t getting the reward he should.

What’s the problem?

There are million of sites out there and there is literally no one who is stopping the site owners to put your movie online and make it publicly available.

There is torrent, thousand of torrent proxies, don’t tell me you haven’t heard about piratesbay. The day a movie is released it is there on torrent, although in cam print, but you know it is for free. Not a lot would mind watching the movie in their mobile for free rather than going to a theatre and paying for it.

How can this be solved

First of all, we have to understand that the internet is something that no single person has the control over. So, you can’t really block someone from publishing your content over the web, but what you can do is make it hard for the audience to find the content, extremely hard, almost impossible.

Suppose, your movie got pirated, someone has uploaded it on torrent. Obviously, in minutes the movie will be copied to multiple websites, possibly in tens of thousands.

So, what can you do now?

We are here to help you out, we will make sure that all the pirated content surfing over the web gets removed in under 10 minutes to 24 hours.

What we do for resolving it

  • Get it removed from search engines: According to the study, in the first 30 days of the movie release 90% of the pirated movie views happens through search engine. Think by yourself, how would someone land to a website leaking movies, these websites aren’t very popular ones whom users would remember, these aren’t facebook, amazon. So, the first step we do to mitigate the issue is to get the infringing links removed from the search indexes.
  • Send DMCA notices to the website owner: We don’t just stop at the search engine remove, we go further for getting it removed from the website itself. There are some websites which lets the user to post content, and these are mostly the websites which removes the content when we send the DMCA notice.
  • Send notices to the hosting providers: But there are websites, who don’t reply to the DMCA notices, obviously, what we do in that case? Most of the websites in today’s era are hosted by the hosting provider, no one almost no one maintains their own servers, specially the websites who aren’t popular/profitable enough to maintain their own tech team. To get the entire website itself removed from the web, we send notices to the hosting providers and get the websites removed from the web.
  • Involve our legal team and send legal notices to the website owners: In cases when above methods don’t work out fully, we go and get legal notices drafted and send it to the website owners and also the hosting providers, and follow them to the court.
  • Down time torrent file: For torrent, we go ahead and make several requests to the movie’s torrent file. Torrent works with the concept of seeders and leachers, what we do is, we go ahead and create a lot of demand for that file, and since there are very limited seeders the speed of the download takes a hit, it goes super slow. We have our own proprietary software, which can make almost any torrent file so slow that it takes days for the file to get downloaded. And in this millennium era, where the attention span time itself is 12 seconds, no one really waits for a couple of days to download a movie and then watch it.
  • Fake torrent file: We don’t just stop at down-timing the torrent files, we also create so many fake torrent files for the movie, which won’t do anything but waste users data.
  • Create thousands of dummy websites: We also create thousands of dummy links which comes on the top of search engine results and hence makes it really really hard for the infringing sites to get visibility.

There are plenty of other techy/nerdy stuff that we do but can’t really disclose ;)

So, should you contact us before releasing the movie or after?

Obviously, before. We working for your movie protection upfront is a precaution and we working after is a cure, and you know Precaution is always always better than the cure ;)

There are thousands of things that can be done as a precautionary step to make sure that the infringement almost doesn’t happen at the first place.
