Thanks for walking out on me when I needed you the most. You taught me to find the real strength within.

Thanks for disappearing with no explanation whatsoever. You taught me to accept an apology I never received.

Thanks for not being there when I was at my worst. You taught me to fight my way back, back into this cruel world.

Thanks for disappointing me when I had the highest expectations from you. You taught me how no one will ever live up to them.

Thanks for being that friend who made a move on me. You taught me that not everyone you’re good to will return the favour.

Thanks for not seeing beyond the smile on my face. You taught me how to hide my pain better.

Thanks for letting me into your life like I meant the world and then shutting me out like it’s nothing. You taught me how insignificant our little problems can be.

Thanks for hurting me to a point where I wanted to end my life. You taught me to be kind to strangers, everyone has a past, every scar has a story.

Thanks for scarring my childhood. You taught me how important it is to let children know that it’s okay and that they’re still loved.

Thanks for being that guy I wanted more than anything else in my life. You taught me how not all wishes must come true.

Thanks to each and every one of you.
You all taught me not everything that’s broken is irreparable.

When it’s time for you to love,
you’re going to love.

The same way when it’s time for you to hurt,
you’re going to hurt.

Your life
is perfectly balanced.

You will hurt
and love
when it’s necessary.

Nothing more.
Nothing less.
