2024 Ferrari Roma

The top of Ferrari’s exquisite Roma coupe has been removed to produce the 2024 Ferrari Roma Spider, a successor to the Portofino M. The design is mostly same, but Ferrari has revised the rear spoiler, added a wind deflector, and reinforced the chassis and bodywork. The Roma Spider’s turbocharged 3.9-liter V-8 engine still delivers 612 horsepower.

A cloth top will be used on a front-engined Ferrari for the first time since the 1969 365GTS/4. Today, Ferrari unveiled the Roma Spider, a retractable soft top that replaces the roof of its beautiful V-8-powered coupe. According to Road and Track, the Roma Spider will replace the Portofino M in Ferrari’s range.

Fortunately, Ferrari kept the bodywork essentially the same, with the Roma Spider preserving the coupe’s tall bonnet and elegant contours. The soft top, which is made of unique multi-layer fabric weaves, can be deployed in 13.5 seconds at speeds up to 37 mph.

The active rear spoiler has been updated and tuned for roofless driving, with three configurations that boost downforce as you drive faster. Ferrari additionally stiffened the chassis’s rear, claiming that the Roma Spider is just 185 pounds heavier than the coupe.

Features (2024 Ferrari Roma Spider)-

With an 8.4-inch vertical screen and a metal gear selector plate surrounded by lush leather and faux-suede, the cabin has the same classy aesthetic of the original Roma. The steering wheel buttons have been redesigned for ease of use, and the start button now glows red.

With the top down, Ferrari focused on decreasing wind noise and turbulence with a 5-mm aerodynamic element added to the top of the windscreen and a wind deflector that pops out by turning the backrest of the rear seats at the touch of a button. This cannot be opened with rear passengers in place, although considering the Roma’s cramped confines, we doubt this will be an issue very often.
