Farewell, WordPress!

It was nice using you as a platform for the past four to five years, but it’s time to make a change.

I’ve been blogging quite consistently over the past few years but over the course of the last few months I lost interest in trying to keep my blog alive. There was always at least one thing I was unhappy with, whether it was the design of my blog or something else. I kept trying to optimizee stuff and wasn’t focusing enough on my writing.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved having my own blog, but I think I’m ready to try out something new and focus on different things in life.

With the move to Medium I hope that I’ll be able to focus more on actually writing stuff, without having the urge to fix things.

Right now, I don’t really know what I’ll be doing with my 200+ blog posts, but I guess I’ll keep them safe somewhere, because I don’t want to trash my previous work.

There’s also another huge change for me: I’ll be writing in English from now on. Well, at least I’ll try to. I’ve been out of school for a few years and my English writing skills have already gotten rusty. Time to change that. Since I’m not a native speaker, I guess there will be some mistakes and some of my sentences will not be perfectly worded. I’ll try to get better though.

Also, giving up my self-hosted blog should give me more time to focus on making videos for my YouTube channel, which makes me happy already.

Now some of you might be curious what I’m planning to write about: Well, thoughts, stuff I’ve been up to and other things that define my life. Don’t expect anything, even though I plan to publish at least one to two articles per month.

A few humble words about me:

I’m 22 years old, I live in Austria and I’m studying law at university at the moment. I love to travel, take photos, film stuff and write about everything that defines me. If you want to talk or find out what I’ve been up to recently, check out my Twitter account.

That’s it for today, see you next time!
