I can’t believe this very detailed article didn’t even once mention “cable”. I can carry my X250 with one arm and type with the other, put it on small airplane desks and throw it around in my bed, on the floor or whereever — since i got an SSD. Who would try that with a cable-bound powerbank? How long would the USB-C port survive? A powerbank is a desperate move to excuse the tiny internal battery. We lose independence. We lose mobility. The Thinkpad gets largely more bulky than a with a tightly attached rear battery. Apple has really poisoned technology and minds. We have an adequate expression in German: never sink that low to drink from the chocolate-milk somebody pulls you through…
