But first and foremost, writing is a compass.
And because my particular set of personality traits doesn’t allow me to go shallow on every project I do — I want to go deep everywhere — I get overwhelmed. Not with the projects per se, but with the thoughts about them.
I used to (falsely) think that I get overwhelmed because of the number of projects I have. I tried reducing those projects to a handful, just to see what happens.
