šŸ‹ 7 tips to [START ANYTHING] šŸƒ

It was a time when things were looking so hard to me. Take a train, start a job, begin a new project, meet new people… Anything seemed impossible to me. However, today, everything became so easy! And I am here on top of few little mountains that I’ve climbed (because the path still very long) thinking: ā€œwell, it wasn’t so hard at the endā€.

And I’m sure you know what I am talking about, think about something that was terrifying you when you were younger, something, until you took the first step, that leaded to a bigger step, then another one, and so on. Remember how you felt before to start this thing; didn’t it feel like you would never do it? Weren’t you saying things to yourself such as ā€œI will never make itā€ or ā€œthis is not for me, I can’t do thisā€. But today, what do you really think about it?

So to help us in the process of getting things done, knowing that they are actually easier than what we think they are, I have made a list of 7 tips to help you grow and become who you really want to be, byu achieving what you truly want to do.

1. Start with smaller step

I like to think that any big project can be divided into smaller projects. In other words, whatever you want to do, if you still having a mind block on it, it’s probably because you still have to find the very first step that would start the whole process. In my video I give the example of going to travel, a first smaller step is going to simply take a 15mn train to the next city, then 30mn, then 1 hour, then a plane, etc…

2. Collect information

Today it is so easy through Facebook, Forums, or any kind of social media to get information you are missing. There is no more excuse not to accomplish your dreams, or at least not to know how to accomplish them. Simply google ā€˜How to […]’ and you already half way done.

3. Write your goals everyday

And put them somewhere you can see them.

4. Visualise

For these two last tips I refer you to my video again with an example of wanting to go live in Berlin.

5. Connect with people

For the same reasons as my tip number 2, connecting with people is as easy as collecting information. Internet has put everyone in the same spot and it is so easy to find a mentor or to hang out with like minded people. Here are few websites that can help you: http://internations.org, http://meetup.com, http://couchsurfing.com, http://facebook.com.

6. Forget about ā€œwhat ifā€

When you think of your dream, or the ONE THING you want to do, what comes to your mind? What if it doesn’t work? What if I fail? What if I don’t do X so I don’t het Y? You need to stop thinking about these things and about a thousand plan B for each of them. No matter what you expect to go wrong, it won’t be what you imagine. So just go and see as you walk.

7. Take that jump, just do it

You really want to do it? Then do it! It’s that simple, eventually wipe off all the other advice and conserve this one only! If you at the pool and you want to jump into the water 10 meters lower. What do you have to do? Call your friend? Check on Internet how it feels? Connect with people? Lol… Of course not, if you there, all you have to do is take a big breath and jump. There is no other way.
