My TIIDELab Experience 2.0: The Month Of August at TIIDELab

We just concluded our second month out of the 5-Month training. So far it has being a worthwhile, fun and challenging experience with loads of activities happening in this exciting second month.

Mr. Kenny Ibrahim Lukman kick started the month by walking us through Software Requirements Specification(SRS) and Functional Requirement Documentation(FRD) and the importance of these two documents in terms of projects documentation.
Then we were separated into different teams working on a different projects in which we’re to build web applications for, thereby implementing these document in the process.

By Friday, we had our usual meetup but this Friday’s meetup was unique because we did it virtually. But that wasn’t going to be an excuse for the fellows not learning something new as always. Mr Shamsudeen AKA Big Brother enlightened us on Smart Decision-making Strategies where we learnt about the ProACT approach of smart and ethical decision-making strategies.

The following week was a very anticipated one for the fellows cause we finally would begin learning JavaScript. So for the remainder of the month we got to learn about javascript coding styles, variables and data types, Loop Statements, Switch Statements, Functions and so on.

We also presented our respective UI/UX designs for our web application projects to the council of elders including Mr. Pk, Mr. Solomon, Miss Celeste and Mr. Kenny which they all gave their thought on the designs and progress of the projects

Tiidelab Lagos had the opportunity of having the presence of the esteemed Founder Mr. kadir Salami in their midst in which he gave a lecture themed “Forever Employable” which he explained and gave insights on things to do that would make jobs search for us instead of the other way round.

August has been loaded with activities. Can’t wait for what September brings.
