Cutting funding is a cowards response. How about disproving a lie instead?
Tyler Brice

Cutting funding needs to be done for some fake news, specifically the Macedonian example where lies are being spread by somebody who doesn’t care, but can make a buck at it.

I’m all for disproving lies, but we already have fact checking done via PolitiFact and Snopes. Once the truth shows up it often gets ignored by people pushing agendas or simply agreeing with something.

I don’t know how we solve the propaganda side of things, but we should at least get the low-hanging fruit of fake news created for profit.
