What’s in for me ? Deep dive into Utility and design of GEN0 and GEN1

ART LOVERS!!! WHAT’S UP!!?

We here again, and this time we’re taking the deepest of dives into the utility we’ll be building into GEN 0 and GEN 1 of the MARA.NFT collection. Some of our more eagle-eyed community members have already spotted the clues sprinkled throughout our roadmap 1.0, but now we droppin’ the full reveal. You ready?

GEN 0 — OUR OG HEROES

As the core of our community, you guys will accrue the most extensive benefits of all our holders. You won’t find anything else like this in the NEAR NFT ecosystem, for real. Benefits will include:

• GEN 1 Royalties: the 100 GEN 0 holders will receive a portion of the royalties from secondary sales of the entire 1,000-piece GEN 1 collection.
• Incubator revenues: GEN 0 holders will have a percentage of the MARA.NFT DAO Incubator revenues shared equally between them. The Incubator will be compliant with French law and our share of the projects we launch will vary from 30–100% (if the artist receives a cash advance in preference to a share of the mint). Can’t say more yet, but the artists we’re in talks with are choosing options that would leave us 50–80% of revenues!
• NFT Staking: you will be able to stake your GEN 0 via our partner protocol(s) for as yet unrevealed rewards. How will the LISTOOORS resist?
• Sell bespoke merch: produce and sell merch featuring the NFT design you own, for free, through our merchandizing partner.
• DAO governance: decide the direction of MARA.NFT DAO. 1 NFT = 1 VOTE.
• Merch store priority: all MARA.NFT holders, regardless of generation, will be at the front of the line for access to our merch store.
• Whitelist access: 30% of all whitelist spots from our partners will be shared between the 100 GEN 0 holders. (Other 70% shared between the 1000 GEN 1 holders.)
• VIP event access: free entry and exclusive roles at all future events organized by the DAO, including exhibitions and -REDACTED-. (GOD DAYUUM this is a good one, but it’s a secret for now!)
• OG alpha: access for GEN 0 holders to private channels with some of the biggest names in the MARA.NFT DAO and NEAR ecosystems, think of it like a society for fine art collectors, and one that you really, really want to be in. This will include reserved future auction spots (which will be tradeable), access to some of the most exclusive DAOs in the space (Goudvis will hook us up!) and relationships with some of the most prominent buildooors in NEAR NFTs.

Last but not least, a little surprise to thank you guys for being there with us from the earliest days of this project — Each GEN 0 will receive a wall painting style custom background from Mara to echo his street art vibe even more authentically! This move will also enable epic future utility from the new smart contract we will be writing! We’ll have more updates soon on the steps to upgrade your MARA, but until then check these out!

GEN 1 — WE AIN’T EVEN BEGUN

Where you at? Hyped for mint? Don’t think we’re leaving you out — you guys are the backbone of our community and we know it. So, what utility we got for you?

• Incubator revenues: GEN 1 holders will have a percentage of the MARA.NFT DAO Incubator revenues shared equally between them.
• The “Ragequit Button”: No need to worry about being left underwater if floor price falls below mint. You will have the option to hit the ragequit button and get a share of your mint investment back no questions asked. The share backed will grow with secondary sales.
• NFT staking: you will be able to stake your GEN 1 via our partner protocol(s) for as yet unrevealed rewards. Supply shock INCOMING.
• Sell bespoke merch: produce and sell merch featuring the NFT design you own, for free, through our merchandizing partner.
• DAO governance: decide the direction of MARA.NFT DAO. 1 NFT = 1 VOTE.
• Merch store priority: all MARA.NFT holders, regardless of generation, will be at the front of the line for access to our merch store.
• Whitelist access: 70% of all whitelist spots from our partners will be shared between the 1000 GEN 1 holders. (Other 30% shared between the 100 GEN 0 holders.)
• Event access: free entry to all future events organized by the DAO, including exhibitions and -REDACTED-. (Seriously, like we already said, this is secret but DAAANG BOI.)

We know what you guys have really been waiting for though, so let’s get to it. Mara has been working hard on these, totally focused on ensuring that they will be unmistakably MARA and maintain an equivalent level of artistic integrity to the GEN 0 collection. Here they are, it’s GEN 1 BABY!!!

(FYI: we’re not currently disclosing the exact percentage revenue share from Incubator and secondary sales for one reason and one reason only: the long-term sustainability of the DAO has to come first. Financial projections are being reviewed right now by specialists, the percentages will be disclosed in mid-March and will evolve over time as the DAO grows. The bottom line is that when we moon, you moon!)

Roadmap 2 — The Mystery Crew

This one is all still pretty hush hush, but it will include introducing NFT collectors to physical art projects — get ready to have the opportunity to invest in real world exhibitions, filmmaking and documentary photography.
