Thank you. thank you, thank you! Every single designer should take this advice so serious. Recently Google Apps do this overlay onboarding thing that hides other possible interactions and tries to convince you to explore some specific feature you don’t wanna use at this very moment. Not only is it annoying the first time, but also on every fresh install it shows up again — and again if they add a super-duper new feature that again, I don’t wanna use in that very moment.

Pro tip: If you want to add this kind of tutorial-like feature to your app, let the users decide if they want to see it or not.
