114* simple ways to enhance your productivity… with Fusion 360

*and counting

By now, I’m sure you know all about how Fusion – as a platform in the Design. Make. Use. spirit – is changing the game:

But let’s focus on Fusion 360 here. As you know, learning how to use it is very, very simple and intuitive. You can easily go through the Fondational Concepts or, if you prefer guidance, you can watch subscribe to our YouTube Channel, watch the Quick Tips & Best Practices videos and/or the Recorded Webinars and Hangouts.

Speaking of webinars, did you know that the Fusion 360 Community is filled with valuable information and upcoming Events i.e.: Quick Start, Fabrication 101, 3D CAM Deep Dive, etc.

Productivity enhancement

Now that you are more confortable and productive with Fusion 360 you will look for ways to be even more prolific and be faster with your daily tasks.

I have exactly what you’re looking for: The Autodesk App Store

Created by the community for the community, Autodesk App Store helps you customize your software to meet your unique and specific design needs to achieve greater speed, accuracy, and automation from concept to manufacturing.

As an example, the Fusion 360 App Store has 114 add-ons and extensions!

Some Examples

Slicer

Slicer for Autodesk® Fusion 360™ is a tool to turn your digital 3D models into appealing artefacts. It slices and converts 3D models into 2D patterns that you can cut out of any flat material. Slicer for Fusion 360 also creates 3D instructions you can interact with, to help build a model.

Voronoi Sketch Generator

This add-in allows the user to generate Voronoi sketches by setting various parameters that will affect the generated forms.

Change Comparer

When the command description is “Save Snapshot For Comparison” it saves the current model view by taking a snapshot of it – this will be the view we will be comparing to.
When the description is “Compare To Snapshot” it will take another snapshot and will bring up the default browser with a page where the user can switch between the previous snapshot and the latest snapshot to visually compare the changes in the model.
Also note that the second snapshot will be taken from exactly the same angle and with the same zoom factor as the first snapshot, thereby aiding the visual comparison.

Wait, there’s more

In the Autodesk App Store, you’ll find add-ons and Extensions for:

  • Revit
  • AutoCAD
  • Maya
  • Inventor
  • 3ds Max
  • Alias
  • Navisworks
  • Simulation
  • Vault
  • BIM360
  • etc.

The number of Fusion 360 adepts is growing at an astonishing pace.
The number of entries in the IdeaStation is also following the same curve.
This is not only giving ideas to the community to create add-ons in the Autodesk App Store but, also, it helps us create the next generation of Fusion 360 and its Platform.

We are fully committed to the Future Of Making Things
