Learning Fusion 360 has never been easier.
I wish I was in that meeting. The ‘Future of making thing’ meeting.
The meeting where Autodesk’s leaders decided to change CAX (Computer Assisted and the ‘X’ stands for ‘Name it’) for ever.
Take Fusion 360. Not just a CAD software. Fusion is a platform and Fusion 360 is part of it. CAD used to be for the elite. CAD used to cost a lot.
Then, one day, just like that you could buy a 3D Printer at your favorite hardware store.
Fine but, honestly, what are you going to do with it?
How can the ‘hardware store demography’ use a 3D Printer for what it’S meant for. I’m not talking about downloading a “3D Printer” friendly file but 3D modeling something and print it to fulfill a need.
Fusion 360 was born
At the same time, the playing field was changing. Startups were starting to compete against the established companies. People needed a simple, connected, collaborative tool to design, share and make their product.
We democratized CAD
You heard it before, if it passes the ‘Dad’ test. It’s promising.
If my Dad can use it, it’s simple enough but that doesn’t mean my Dad is on the path of adoption.
If my Dad can use it, it’s simple enough.
To make sure customers are adopting the solution we have to be more than just The Next Best Thing. Just like everything we do lately at Autodesk, we need to provide advanced, extraordinary, futuristic tools that will help with adoption.

Our Community is filled with ressources to learn how to use Fusion 360.
You can also follow the Learn Fusion 360 link from within Fusion 360 (In the ‘?’ menu).
But, a couple weeks ago, the incredible Fusion 360 Adoption Team created in-depth training material that should matter to you.
Here’s some details from Rob Cohee “Fusion Adoption & Secret Handshakes”:
One of the most critical things we learned is that you subscribed to Fusion 360 to do something with it. Something specific like create conceptual models, mechanical assemblies, or generate tool paths, right? So if you subscribed to Fusion 360 to generate tool paths, your interest in learning T-Splines may be pretty far down your list of things that matter to you in your first 30–90 days of using the product.
It’s never been easier to adopt and get trained on Fusion 360.
