WeClimb.it — open-source project for outdoor lovers

Hello everyone,
a few years ago, it was 2013 actually, I started working on a website called “weclimb.it”; so far I have done all by myself (front-end, back-end, design, promotion, etc…) and spent many hours on this side project but, strangely, without being 100% committed to spreading it.

In the meanwhile, I always tried to contribute as much as I could to other open-source projects and, due to my actual job and life in general, the time spent on WeClimb.it quickly ran out of juice. So I decided to give it a try.

About a month ago I released all the front-end on GitHub, opened a few issues already, with the hope to see it growing as I would like to see. The back-end needs a huge lift up but the idea is to do the same thing there as soon as possible.

If you love nature, hiking, climbing, any kind of help will be much appreciated; being it promoting, testing or coding the project.

You can find the website here: https://www.weclimb.it
The GitHub account here: https://github.com/WeClimb-it/weclimb.it
The Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/WeClimbIt

The tech stack is Angular 9 and GraphQl for the front-end;
Node.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, and GraphQl for the back-end.
The UI follows the Material Design system with slight changes.

If you are curious to know more about it, do not hesitate to reach me out.

Thanks for having reached the bottom.
Stay safe ❤
