I read the story, and promise you I understand the function of the City Attorney’s office. In Los Angeles, they prosecute misdemeanors in the City of LA — not felonies. Civilly, they would also represent the City and perhaps city officials, like the Mayor and police chief.
Again, you wrote that the two persons are charged with ‘felony misdemeanors’. I am asking you what that is because I have never heard of such a crime. You might want to take ‘felony’ out. Moreover, The Mayor’s involvement in this story don’t match the story.
