Thanks Timo! At UXPin we have line-heights specified for every style of text (headline-1, headline-2 etc.). These two were just examples :)

On my own projects I like to treat line-height as a font-size multiplied by X and I’m usually just including it in a mixin.

Here’s an example of a saas mixin from a recent project

$headline-line-height-x: 1.4;
@mixin headline-1($color, $weight) {
font-size: $font-size-headline-1;
line-height: $font-size-headline-1 * $headline-line-height-x;
color: $color;
font-weight: $weight;
