The Phoenix

Her scent exploded in my nose, the archer pulled the bow

And her voice struck like an arrow to my heart.

It stunned my mind, and drained me of blood,

The gravity of her gaze shrunk me, and she became a giant compared to I.

I wrapped around her like an octopus, and through my pours I absorbed her soul,

And I dissolved, I lost form, I became but ashes.

Again, like in the beginning of my life

I rose like vapor from the delicate warmth of a woman,

Inexperienced and naked, turned to ashes by her tender touch.

As I regained my form, I burned like fire and was entangled like rope,

And like a warrior, I was ready to die at any minute.
