How to bring change from within an Organisation?
Inspired by the members of my traditional family organisation, hyper island and the outstanding industry leaders that I had the opportunity to engage to. I’ve developed and tested the a simple yet powerful methodology, which aims to bring to life the theory of my industry based research, to create a long-lasting improvement in the industry.
The world is more and more a complex environment, full of unpredictability. Where predicting the future is a reason for god’s laughter. In this case, organisations that industry leaders define as responsive, are more flexible to live and flourish in this world. What about organisations that apply old thinkings and practices? How can they leave in this world?
This methodology has the objective of inspiring Organisation by giving tool and practices that aim to give the opportunity to every organisation on becoming responsive to new worlds challenges. But how does it work? The idea here is to bring change from within the organisations. And is divided into four parts.
1. Self-managed teams, with no more than five people, coming from different departments, come together to work in a creative environment.
2. Before and during the process, those teams will be facilitated by leaders who can bring novel tools, methods, and process. Also by inspiring lectures, workshops, and coaching.
3. Teams will work together with a brief in one of the company’s challenges, using the process and practices learned. For example: increase the selling of cutlery, or how to attract young costumers. At the end of each project teams will present their insights to the leaders of the company.
4. Every once in a while the teams can implement new practices and processes in their daily workgroups and share to the others, their experience, what work best, what were the barriers and what could be improved next time.
Hope this methodology can be tested more and improved. And inspired you to start the change anywhere.
