2. State St.
Speaking of State Street, Lower State St. is lined with fashion boutiques, coffee shops, and fantastic restaurants, all in a uniquely Santa Barbara Spanish architecture style. Make sure you walk all the way down towards the Harbor and onto Stearns Wharf.
3. Sunset Cruise
Take in the mountains and city at sunset by boat. If you’re lucky you might see dolphins and other wildlife. Santa Barbara Sailing Center offers boats you can reserve with MARCO!
4. Funk Zone
Head to the eclectic Funk Zone District with art galleries, wine tasting rooms, and even more restaurants. Don’t miss the colorful murals on some of the side streets!
While Santa Barbara offers some world class surf breaks, anyone can try catching a wave at beginner breaks like Leadbetter Beach just at the end of State Street or Santa Claus Beach in Carpinteria, just a short drive south from downtown Santa Barbara.
6. Santa Ynez
Also within short driving distance, the Santa Ynez Valley is famous for its world-class wineries. While you’re there, check out Solvang, a quaint Danish village nearby.
There’s no shortage of places to bike around the area. Cruise along the waterfront, cycle along the winding country roads, or drop down backcountry trails.
