Really well put. I had a similar experience when diagnosed with mild depression and anxiety. I felt a bit short changed, and for a while it made me feel much worse — like I was over playing how I was feeling, or that it wasn’t heavy enough to be taken seriously. Like feeling suicidal, even if only fleetingly every now and then, isn’t enough to…
I totally agree. I think we share a common goal there.
These are some of the goals I’m exploring with my Ministry of Change project — how can we create the conditions where everybody has the conditions to thrive and express their experience of life without feeling judged or embarrassed.
It’s sad to see the clubhouse go, but exciting to know that the extra energy will be there to create more great things! I’ll definitely be dropping into The Skiff for a visit when I’m in Brighton!
Keep doing what you’re doing! :)
Thanks Dan — yes, they are my own (well, I used a photo of the butterfly cycle as a reference) — I love exploring the potential of blogging and how to create a multi-sensory experience. I find drawing my on images is part of the overall aesthetic experience of the reading process. I’ve recorded an audio version too but haven’t uploaded it yet.
