The Vigeland installation in Frogner Park is remarkable. Designed by Gustav Vigeland in the 1930s, the park features over 200 sculptures that align with the parks theme of the circle of life. Exhibits of childhood, adulthood, parenthood, and old people surround you as you walk through this beautifully curated park.

The piece photographed above is the “Monolith” attraction which was made from one solid piece of granite and took 14 years to complete. The supposed theme is eternal life and depicts man’s longing for the spiritual and divine.
