Academic writing

I don’t believe academic writing should have such a strict regime as CLAIM-DATA-WARRANT why does it have to be so?

I always had a high IQ. I studied Mathematics at University level, for gawd’s sake but no, I cannot get this sequence of referencing so that it actually helps me prove what I’m saying is more authentic than what I am saying!

Why oh why do I have to reference everything? Why oh why?

Isnt’ there a new world of digital cultures where we should be more lenient about academic writing? I simply have a mental block to it.

Even #poetry nowadays has some sort of lenience of structure

right?
