Thanks for telling your story & love the pictures! I see some parallels with another outsider tale that I just read, “Hillbilly Elegy” by J.D. Vance. He too is looking for ways to reach out & include an ignored class of people.

I think you are exactly right, it has to be done the right way. Throwing money at it, new government programs, quotas… These things don’t actually fix anything. But when you, and others like you who’ve been there & know it is possible to change reach out to help others, this is where it starts I think.
