Did you know in the wee hours of the morning,

before you wake,

the trees go play hide and go seek?

They lift up their r o o t s.

They shake Off the birds

They S T R E T C H out their branches.

Suddenly the fun begins!

Tag excites them all until Pine Tree catches Maple

…and gets stuck with sappy leaves.

They play leap frog,

Red rover,

And Simon says.

Willow tree gets called out for touching his head.

T h r o u g h the moonlight sky, the sun begins to rise.

Baby saplings kick and whine, knowing it’s time to return home.
