11 reasons why you should read books.

Reading books — you like it or not. Either way, here are my top reasons why I love reading them.

1. You can get hundred years of knowledge…

…for about 15 bucks (and let’s not even talk about libraries). Like what? Is there cheaper way to study from people who have made big things? No.

2. You have always something to do.

Some people watch TV when they don’t have nothing to do. I read books. It is perfect action for every time, doesn’t matter where you are and what’s the time is. And you will learn, instead of wasting time.

3. You broaden your mind and knowledge.

You can study new topics and subjects so easily. You can view other perspectives, agree with them or not, and find your way of thinking. You can discover yourself and have some inner debate.

4. Its fun.

It is just one of the best things how you can spend your time. Agree or not, for me, it’s just like that — it is entertainment.

5. You invest money into knowledge.

And when you are ready to invest that money instead of buying just some snacks, then you’re on a half way to success.

6. It lowers your stress and gives motivation

(And yes, even science have backed up this!). You don’t think about other everyday problems and worries. It’s one way to escape everyday life for a moment. Books can give support and motivation when you really need it — for example, when quitting your everyday job and starting your own business. You can always find books about people who have done same what you are planning. When no-one else is supporting you, read a good book about topic you like.

7. You increase your verbal and writing skills.

You read MANY words. You learn many new words. You see how different words can be fitted together. You see different writing-styles.

8. It improves your imagination.

TV does and shows everything for us, but reading helps to stimulate your brain and visualize different situations. Never know, you may come to a very good idea same time with reading because your brain activity is on its’ peak.

9. It makes you attractive for smart people.

Smart people look for other like-minded people. Let’s say that you are on the airport waiting your plane. There’s much bigger change to find new relationship or networking opportunity when reading a book instead of looking down to your phone. You never know when someone comes and asks what book are you reading!

10. It helps you to sleep better.

Nowadays one of the biggest problems is constant smartphone checking, even in bed. But instead of this, leave your phone to the other room, take a good book and read it about 1 hour before sleep-time. Trust me, your sleep will have much better quality.

11. You show good example.

I personally really would like to see my child reading. And what’s better way to lead him to books? Yes, me reading, not watching TV or something like that.

Do you feel like you would like to read a book today? Yes? Very good. Take 0,5–1 hours every day and do it constantly. You will thank yourself.
