When Is the F-35 Not a Dogfighter? When It’s Convenient
Joseph Trevithick

@Trevithick, you failed to acknowledge that one of the key weapons systems not available to that AF-02 was the ability (which all other F-35s have) is in fact a short-range dogfighting capability to control at launch the direction of the AIM-9X (the pilot can steer the missile to do a 180 back at the enemy, a maneuver the F-35 itself would never be able to do). Ultimately, a dog fight with the F-35 isn’t aircraft-vs-aircraft, but rather aircraft-vs-USmissile.
