Norway’s electric vehicles are only 0 carbon emissions (or close to it) because they get 98% of their electric power from hydroelectric due to their geography.

Electric vehicles in the US are NOT anywhere close to 0 emissions. Our power grid is one of the largest, if not the largest contributor to carbon emissions. Electric Vehicles actually pollute about the same amount as a regular car and twice as much as a hybrid. This varies considerable by state with West Virginia being the worse with mostly coal, And states that are mostly nuclear and/hydro being the best. California is in the middle with mostly natural gas which is about 2x less than coal, but electric vehicles are still not quite as clean as hybrids in California.

I failed to understand why people claim that electronic vehicles are 0 emissions…uh, where does the power come from that’s the story! You need to really think this through if you really want to save the environment! The strongest compelling reasons for electric vehicles in the US is to developed the industry and the associated lobbying groups to promote solar and maybe nuclear power in the US. We are tapped out with hydro and even wind is limited.
