A UI/UX Product Design Project Idea on Artisans (Group 222)

My team and I worked on a project subject which is on the Ease on Accessing Artisans in our local area.

Problems Identified

 This research is aimed at understanding the issues people face trying to access Artisans for services and how this problem can be solved.

An Artisans is a hand-skilled person/entrepreneur. They may include Carpenters, Interior Decorators, Mechanics, Caterer, Hair dresser, Electrical Technician, Fashion designer, Plumber,

Problem Statement

 Individuals in need of this services are unable to get in touch with professional Artisans from the comfort of their homes and especially when they have a busy schedule; Users may have suffered stress, low satisfaction in solving immediate needs while trying to solve instant situations that requires the assistance of an Artisan.

Research Gathering

• Over 50 responses were gathered from the Questionnaire; 
• 25% of users have used a similar software application while 63.% have are yet to use a similar application; 
• Over 20% are Students and other occupation ranges from Hair dressers, Software Engineers, Accountants, Auditors, and other Entrepreneurs; 
• From findings, users look forward to using the application as this would save time, energy, extra expenses and most importantly, getting in touch with the best Artisans.

Ideations Concluded

Creating an E-commerce Application: 

• That is user friendly for both the educated and non- educated;
• Likewise the ease to navigate; 
• That it allows users make payments either physically, in app payment or with their card details safely without fear of scam and fraud;
• That all Artisans must be verified carefully to avoid theft and robbery cases; 
• That the E-commerce app contains price listings and estimation;
• That will include geographical regions and states.
