Responsibilities

Be a part of the team. Although each of us has his own style and excels in different areas, we always work together. We aim for design perfection achieved through team effort and consensus.

Job description:

  • Work with a team of designers, user researchers, product owners and developers.
  • Be passionate about identifying and solving real user problems.
  • Define interaction models, user flows and UI specifications.
  • Collaborate with other designers to maintain design consistency and coherence across our products.
  • Collaborate with the research team on usability tests and explorative preparation.
  • Present design alternatives and effectively communicate rationale and trade-offs in English, verbally and in writing.

Reach out to us if you:

  • Have relevant industry experience (2+ years) — no need to have university degree in design.
  • Are a curious designer with an analytical mind and a sharp eye for details.
  • Want to grow both professionally and personally.
  • Experience with working in an agile environment.
  • Portfolio demonstrating experience in designing and building products and features for mobile or desktop, either native or web.

What we offer?

In the UX team, we respect each other and value our freedom. We know that work plays an important part of our lives and that’s why we try to make every day count. We’re open to talk about anything you might need.

Benefits of working with us:

  • Personal growth. Pick your personal mentor, an international conference or a book — UX design is all about constant learning, that’ why we have this thing called educational budget.
  • Team spirit. We spend a lot of time together and we love to go out for a beer, do some sports together or hit the road for a skiing weekend.
  • Work with impact. Workplace Hub is a top priority project in Konica Minolta. If you have ideas that might drive it towards success, they will be heard.
  • Friendly atmosphere. We are set a little aside from the general corporate structure — as a Business Innovation Centre, our atmosphere is more of a startup. Casual dresscode, no timesheets.
  • Flexibility. We work primarily on site, but flexible working hours and home office within reason are a sure thing.
  • Global cooperation. We work with people in London, US and Japan, sometimes on daily basis. There’s a lot of people to reach out to and much to learn from them.
  • In-house language lessons of English, German or Japanese, if you choose the way of the Samurai.
  • Top-of-the-shelf equipment. MacBook for both work & personal use, sponsored smartphone of your choice and the complete designer’s software suite.
  • Freedom to express yourself. From defining new processes to co-designing our offices — if you find yourself a mission, you are free to pursue it.
  • Neat offices. Designed with focus on simplicity and open-ness, equipped with essentials such as high-end espresso machine, table soccer and Xbox, with places for meetings, conf-calls, ideation, relax and barbecue.
  • Great location. Spielberk Office Centre has a really nice vibe all year round with some great spots for a lunch or a coffee.
  • Refreshments. Doubleshot coffee, start-of-the-week fresh fruit delivery and occasional Japanese snacks that nobody really knows what they are made of.
  • Motivating salary based on your experience.
  • 25 days of vacation and 2 sick days.
  • Meal vouchers. Well, what would any benefit section be without them.

And this is us…

We think, we talk, we design, we fail. We learn, we have fun, we’re friends.

How to apply:

Make 10 jumping jacks, 20 push-ups and 1 minute plank. Then tell us something about yourself. We like talented and enthusiastic people, so even if you don’t fully match the criteria mentioned above but deep inside
you know you can be valuable, get in touch with us!

Contact our UX Manager, Ondřej Raul at: ondrej.raul@konicaminolta.cz

Thank you & looking forward to meeting you!

We’re also ready for press when Workplace Hub becomes super famous.
