The Stressful Plane Ride

Yesterday my family and I woke up at 2 in the morning to go to the Bahamas. We were all packed and ready to go by 3:30 and had to drive to the Albany airport to arrive by 4:30 so we could make it to our plane at 5:30. We were running right on time until we parked at the ‘park and fly’ lot. Here we park our cars and then got shuttled to the airport. This took a long time because we had to wait for all of the other passengers to get in the shuttle and put all of their luggage on it, so by the time we arrived at the airport it was already 4:45. Checking passports took some time and after we did this it was 5:00, and to our amazing luck there was a line full of people for security. This took about a half hour to get through, and consisted of our whole family yelling at each other because we were stressed that we wouldn't make our flight. Once we got our bags checked, we all ran to our terminal, and I don’t think I had ever ran faster in my entire life, plus this was only at 5:30 in the morning so I was surprised I could pull it off. We finally arrived at the gates and thankfully our flight hadn't left yet. We were about 5 minutes late and the pilot waited on us a few extra minutes. This was a close call, but it was worth it because it’s amazing in the Bahamas and we didn't have to delay our trip.
