Music is one of the many artistic representations that are attached to human culture. Since the beginning of time it has been used to communicate, for rituals, festivities and as a form of entertainment.

Music, like the human being, has evolved as time went by. Different cultures have been made with sounds that are now considered typical of certain areas, so that the different chords make up sounds that remind us of a certain time, feeling or area.

Thus, we are talking about a universal language, which has grown with the human being. Therefore, regardless of where we are or our culture, we can understand certain feelings or what they try to tell us through it.

With the rise of technologies, music has changed more than ever. The Beatles already began to introduce synthesizers as the first purely technological instruments within their songs. Thus, we can observe a clear difference between Vivaldi’s music (String Concerto, without lyrics or narration) and House music (synthesizers with melody without lyrics or narration)

On the other hand, technology has not only conditioned how the instruments work to form the bases of a song, there are also programs for editing voices (autotune) that make melody and lyrics sound homogeneous.

In addition, the rise of social networks has allowed the almost instantaneous globalization of famous artists called idols. Their songs are no longer heard in a specific area, they do not need to be reinterpreted, they do not need to reach the radio so you can listen to them, or buy a vinyl to store their songs. All you have to do is go to YouTube, Spotify, iTunes or Soundcloud to be able to play any song you want.

Language is no longer a barrier. Thanks to instant translators and subtitles we can enjoy songs in all languages. And beyond the language, we can also enjoy endless video clips with special film effects that make us get in tune with the narration behind the lyrics of the song.

In my opinion, technology has made music diversify and serve everyone. Because nowadays with a common keyboard and a music editor everyone is capable of creating a melody and a letter that give way to their feelings to express them beyond a paper.
