MY EXPERIENCE: Logitech MX Master 2S
As a designer one of the most important devices you can’t do without is the mouse.
This “small” device is arguably one of the most important in the entire setup and thus must be taken seriously.
If you use the wrong mouse, you’ll have a lot going wrong for you (ask Tom and Jerry 😁).
This article focuses on one of the best (if not the best) mouse from 2017.
Fact — It works on any surface, glass inclusive. Here are my favourite features so far:
1. 70 days battery life
I’ve only charged it once since I got it (many weeks now 👍) and I’m a heavy PC user. So that’s unprecedented - I’m impressed.
2. Grip and Ergo
If you know Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, then you’ll love this. I no longer experience sore wrist from long mousing. That’s a good thing right ☺?
3. Fully Customisable Buttons, and there are lots of them
For example, if you design, then you would appreciate having UNDO and REDO programmed into single buttons each. And any keystrokes you use often are welcomed. Also, you can customise this per application.
4. Fast Scroll
The scroll wheel button comes with this automatic ratchet technology that knows when to disengage. This keeps the wheel spinning and comes in handy when running up/down the list of fonts or other long list/page.
5. It’s got weight.
I don’t know if anyone else will appreciate this. But I love carrying this in my palm most times because of the feel. It’s the most important accessory for a graphic designer and it shouldn’t just be light (light ain’t bae 😂).
6. Design
You shouldn’t expect less from a design accessory.
7. Horizontal Scroll Wheel
This saves you a great deal when working on media timelines.
