Thanks for your great insights on being a Dev. Advocate! I recently got hired to be the first dev. advocate for an awesome startup. I start next week, so I’ve decided to use this Labor’s day weekend to plan exactly how I’m going to meet the dev. advocacy needs of the company. Your article definitely helped add more structure to my plans.
I’m curious about what your goals were when you first (accidentally) started becoming a Dev. Advocate, and how long it took for you to achieve those goals? Seems like a few success metrics you used to see if you were on the right track is if you developed new, meaningful connections with developers, and also when you saw developers using your product. Were there any other success metrics you used?
