Shit man! That’s bad.
So it means that school is not at all helping you be your wonderful self. It’s sad, but let’s not be defeatist. We have to look for solutions.
Here are 4 things to keep in mind about school:
1.Your grades don’t really matter. Truth is, after your schooling years (high school, college, or university), no one will care about your grades.
2.School doesn’t prepare you for the real world. I would never ever tell my friends to shut up when I talk, or even my colleagues for that matter. School is more like a dictatorship than a democracy.
3.Specialists are more successful than generalists. So don’t worry if you fail math, English or socials. Be a specialist. Know what you’re good at and double down on your strengths.
4.Most adults don’t remember what they’ve learned in school… Test them. I’ve been a teacher and I can say that I don’t know as much as you do about science, math, and socials (and I was a Socials teacher. That says a lot.) I’ve learned most of what I know (and use) after my schooling years. Real life education makes so much more sense.
