My “Sarahah.com” Experience-

Few days ago, I registered at this new popular website, sarahah.com.
Originally, this website was designed for work- employees could give anonymous feedback to their employers without the fear of being fired, but soon it became a new social website thingy, where friends (and foes) write anonymous messages for you.
So far I’ve recieved dozens of nice messages- people tell me how much they love my blog or instagram posts, compliment my looks. But some time later mean texts and hate messages started to fill my inbox.
In those messages, anonymous people (but only those I socialize with on daily basis- I’ve only shared the link to my personal Facebook profile) tell me how much they hate me, verbally abuse me and say that I should kill myself.
Basically, this new website isn’t really fun for me, I take it as a collective, anonymous cyber bullying, but I expected it. We always need some place to express our true feelings and thoughts- be it a diary or a blog or anonymous letters to some teenage girl.
Sadly, people never have enough courage to come up to me and tell me exactly how they feel about me in real life.
Hiding behind the computer screen makes us all feel so powerful.
