One Pan Creamy Garlic Pasta

The easiest pasta dish EVER! And it only needs ONE pan! MINIMAL CLEAN UP AND MAXIMUM BELLY!
Ingredients:
- half an onion, chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of milk or heavy cream
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 tbsp butter OR 1 tbsp olive oil OR BOTH!
- additional 1 tbsp butter
- salt and pepper to taste
- oregano
- your choice of pasta - I like rotini but also enjoy linguine
- grated Pecorino Romano cheese - or parmesan, or mozzarella, or any cheese will work cuz cheese is delicious and so versatile
- basil leaves
Directions:
Heat olive oil and/or butter in hot saute pan. Cook garlic and onion until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes. DON’T BURN THE ONIONS. Thanks.
Add chicken stock, additional butter, milk or cream, and pasta and stir. Add salt and pepper and oregano to taste. Bring to a boil on high heat and once it starts boiling, reduce the heat. Let the pan simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally SO THAT THE PASTA DOESN’T STICK TO THE BOTTOM OF THE PAN. If the sauce is too thick, add more milk or chicken stock.
Remove from heat once the pasta is cooked all the way through and serve with cheese and maybe even some basil leaves.
Easy!
