Everyone has a unique blueprint. You are unique so you can enrich your world — and in a way no one else can do it exactly like you. You do not create this blueprint — it is your essence — you are born with it! You have been living it out, even if you have not been conscious of it, because it is who you are in your deep, inner self and it displays itself naturally.

But, because it is so natural to us, we often don’t think about it and we can feel we don’t really know who we are. When you are aware of your special place in the world, it gives you power to make choices and to act. It’s an anchor in your life — “This is who I am and this is what brings me joy and fulfillment and how I benefit others.”

So — let’s figure this out if you are thinking, “I’m a bit hazy about my blueprint and purpose.”

Following are a few exercises I think you will find helpful — And if you find these helpful, you may want to check out my blog next week where I will give you some more tools.

Now — find a notebook or open up a document and actually do these exercises:

List the Top Ten things you love to do or have always loved to do. What have you consistently made a part of your life, no matter what?

2.

3.

4.

As you think about your life and various things you have done or experienced that you enjoyed or were fulfilling, what words or phrases come to mind?

Make a list of some times when you felt like you were “in the zone” — times when you lost track of time because you were so caught up in what you were doing. What made them so exciting, fun and absorbing?

*

*

*

*

After doing these exercises, what themes emerge? What words resonate with you?

*

*

Now finish this sentence: “I am happiest and most fulfilled when…..”

What are some ways I am living my purpose now?

How could I make it even better?

What does this knowledge mean for me in this time of my life? What do I want to include in my life? What is important?
