Interesting topic indeed. I only have a couple of remarks to your statement regarding the nature and effect of capitalism. There is noting inherently wrong with capitalism. True capitalism can only be achieved by free self regulating market, which we rarely see today considering all sorts of goverment legislations. If you compare capitalism with any other system, you’ll see radical change. In any other system, the class in which you were born determines to a great extent your possibilities in in life. Capitalism on other had allows to any individual to make great things. It doesn’t come for free though, and that is what most of the people fail to realise. Reality got even worse in todays society where most of the focus is in the presentation (Good outfit, car, house, company etc.) and people don’t look beyond that. But that is only end result of the process that person went trough, which required passion, motivation, sacrifices. And most of the people are not willing to go trough all of that, but they definitely would want same lifestyle, and idea of “American Dream” definetly didn't help, on contrary it led people to belive that you can achive great thing “over night”. Combine all of that with entitlement issues and I think envy will develop quickly.
