showing your heart
I’m sorry you are suffering.
marika bianca

I meant to add, I think the quote comes from Michael Xavier (the author, not the actor — he self-published a collection of poetry/essays called “Heart Like A Hammer” — good chance it’s in there. I’ve always wanted a hard copy but it sold out, unfortunately. You can get the digital version. I should pick that up). I was drawn to the title/bi-line of your post because my school principle gave my grade 6 graduating class a talk about how life is not a bowl of cherries. We laughed at the time but it’s proven true. I hear her voice saying that phrase echoing in my head more often than not.
