Judi, I don’t think it’s weakness at all. I think it’s showing vulnerability — and I think there’s great strength in that, because it takes exceptional courage. I do think it helps to write about our pain — it’s like letting the poison out, somehow. And I most definitely think that sharing these stories, heartbreaking and frightening as they are, is helpful to others who have suffered. There are so many stories and so many have suffered. It’s comforting to know that we are not alone in our fears and in our hurt — that we aren’t freaks or anomalies. Only do what you feel ready and comfortable to do in your sharing. Know that there are people listening who care and will be ready to catch you should you feel you might fall. Hugs.
