I'm interested in animals, nature, science, climate, kids media, literacy, books, theatre, pop culture, not-so-pop culture, big ideas, current events, fiction, poetry, and more.
What I'm Here to (Likely) Write
If you're considering following you can expect any of these:
Animals & Nature: Mouse and Minnow, the animal blog I create with my partner Steve, is on a pretty sporadic schedule. I might also write about our two wobbly cats with cerebellar hypoplasia, the rabbit who moved in uninvited, my adventures as a bird watcher and casual nature photographer, or thoughts on animal ethics and welfare.
Fiction & Poetry: Mouse and Minnow already features some poems and short stories, but I may upload some of my non-animal creative writing, which tends towards humour or speculative fiction.
On Writing: It seems Medium is already chock full of writing advice, but I haven't seen much on playwriting or writing for kids specifically, so I might do a little on that.
Books, Films, and Television: I like to geek out about a lot of things. That could happen here.
Miscellaneous: Personal essays, philosophical ramblings, reactions to current events... Really everything's on the table at this point.
