Larry’s Toes

My nephew Jimmy once tried to convince his wife that the word ridiculous was actually pronounced ri-dic-ly-ous. And that’s what I think whenever I look at Larry’s toes. Larry is my new husband and he has the most outrageous toes I have ever seen. I don’t know how to describe them except to say that they are sort of like a person that has a jaw too small for their face and when they smile all those big teeth come at you from every direction. It’s just too much. And that’s what I think when I see Larry’s toes. I am torn between laughing hysterically and hiding my face in horror. Occasionally I think of writing a book about his toes. I would call it “Where the Wild Toes Are” and I would have Maurice Sendak-like illustrations. But that’s ridiclyous.

Larry, of course, thinks his toes are perfect and he wanted me to tell you that.
