So pervasive that it’s almost invisible, if you don’t look for it. I was in a bar in Amsterdam Half an hour ago with friends: me (white) and a friend (Asian girl) took a selfie for a friend of ours who wasn’t there. I automatically pointed into the camera (and put on a cool face), she flashed a peace sign. We were subconsciously, so automatically mimicking what we’ve been seeing in music videos since we were pre-teens.
