Trump’s rise is the embodiment that there’s no consensus on what exactly those reforms are. Trump and Bernie have wildly different ideas of what to do with the palpable anger in the electorate, as well as the solutions to the problems.
It also shows how deeply polarized the country really is. Trump isn’t winning in spite of his racist and xenophobic views, he’s winning because he’s emboldening those long-existing feeling within this country under the guise that he’s not “politically correct.”
