This is a beautiful thing.

“My solitude doesn’t depend on the presence or absence of people; on the contrary, I hate who steals my solitude without, in exchange, offering me true company.” —Friedrich Nietzsche

It’s become more of a burden to surround myself with people, just to surround myself with people.

As much as I despise being alone, sometimes, I feel lonelier when I have to exert an insurmountable level of energy just to create an illusion of this extremely happy, confident, ironclad person.

I crave conversations that delve into the wonders of the world. When words catch the unexplained and two people stumble on reason, or better yet, belief. Wisdom is a magical entity that more people ought to yearn more often.

I will gladly trade my solitude, the privacy I’ve created within the walls of my own mind, and the opportunity cost of my time, to be able to feel another person’s intellect, or see their thoughts and ideas. That is a beautiful thing.
