This is, indeed, real life! It’s happened to me, too. I love this piece, great work! Just because it’s 2016 and tech has gotten more progressive, doesn’t mean that this stuff doesn’t happen anymore. Even (and especially) men in C-level roles are capable of doing this. These leaders need unconscious (or conscious) bias training and a reality check about the value that women bring to a diverse workforce.
