Ebola, why is the disease coming to America?
Ebola first appeared in 1976. The current outbreak is the worst outbreak ever. The countries who are most severely affected are Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.(http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs103/en/) These African countries have weak health system and the chances of a patient with Ebola dying is very likely. America has sent troops and doctors to the infected villages to help aid those who have the disease. A camera man for NBC has contracted the disease and is being flown to Nebraska for treatment. Reportedly, 10 others in the America are at high risk of being coming infected and are being monitored daily. (http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/05/health/ebola-us/index.html).
My question is this, why transport the the deadly disease to America? Why have the chance of infecting more people? Can’t they transport the equipment needed to treat the patients? I believe the Ebola virus is a disease that can kill a lot of people. I also believe that the virus should be kept over in Africa and America can ship the equipment needed to help the patients and send them home. Why are people such as camera men and reporters going over there when they are at a high chance of being infected? I’am hopeful that the virus with dwindle.
