Sweet Tea

Today I drank…
- Black coffee at Fine & Shapiro. The best kosher restaurant in the Upper West Side. First day I moved into the neighborhood I sat in a booth next to my new U.S. congressman Jerrold Nadler. He’ll chair the House Judiciary Committee and lead impeachment hearings if the Democrats take the majority in November. If they don’t, I hear fascists states really aren’t all that bad.
- Sweet tea, at the Electric Zoo festival on Randall’s Island. This was my first sober music event in probably fifteen years. It was cool. I probably would’ve enjoyed some mollie or weed, but it was fine without. The crowd was a bunch of hippie kids, but without any hint of revolution. But did hippies really get much done, anyways? Wasn’t most progress made by civil rights activists? I should probably do some reading. Side note — Asians love E.D.M.
