Sweet Tea

Today I drank…

  1. Black coffee at Fine & Shapiro. The best kosher restaurant in the Upper West Side. First day I moved into the neighborhood I sat in a booth next to my new U.S. congressman Jerrold Nadler. He’ll chair the House Judiciary Committee and lead impeachment hearings if the Democrats take the majority in November. If they don’t, I hear fascists states really aren’t all that bad.
  2. Sweet tea, at the Electric Zoo festival on Randall’s Island. This was my first sober music event in probably fifteen years. It was cool. I probably would’ve enjoyed some mollie or weed, but it was fine without. The crowd was a bunch of hippie kids, but without any hint of revolution. But did hippies really get much done, anyways? Wasn’t most progress made by civil rights activists? I should probably do some reading. Side note — Asians love E.D.M.

13 days without alcohol. 11 without marijuana. 0 without Electronic Dance Music.
