ENOUGH with race as an issue. There is no such thing as race. We are all one species from the same gene pool with external physical differences developed over time through human migratory history. I challenge anyone to dispute this scientific fact.
Similarly with religion.
Anyone who wishes to place people into subgroups groups for the purposes of political opinion/commentary/gain should rethink — yes, even if the goal is to promote the noble concepts of unity and peace.
I think the larger concept you are discussing is rebellion against perceived abusive power. The first problem is how to define and identify the target. I’m pleased to see you don’t fall for the very easy and convenient “Trump is evil” line. After all, what’s four years of one guy sitting in an office with literally every move he makes being scrutinized ad infinitum. Still, the problem, and it can be a large problem, remains.
Beyond identification of the target is a second problem, namely, means. As you so aptly indicate, violence is at least not the first option. I suppose it depends on how truly oppressed one is. A better approach might be a grassroots political movement, which would certainly take much time and effort — not to mention a comprehensive platform of appealing ideas.
Any ideas which do not involve the concept of race?
